Connecting Hunters To Local Families

Moloka'i

Axis deer (chital), Black Buck

On the Island of Molokai we have about 30,000 Axis Deer.  Axis deer can be a difficult animal to hunt.  Desmund Manaba, land manager and guide for GHO describes the axis deer as a triple threat. They can see from far, smell from far, and their numbers are so high. Do not worry GHO are professionals when hunting these animals.  Another exotic game we have on Molokai are the Black Buck (upon availability).  Whether its family, groups, or the occasional honeymooner we will take care of you the moment you land.  Molokai has just under 15K acres of private land to hunt on.  You can relax on Hawaii's longest white sand beach, or go hiking across our mixed terrain forests.  Instead of hunting we can also provide shoreline fishing and crabbing trips.  There are many different activities to do on the island of Molokai.

Hawaii Island

Spanish Goat/Hawaiian Ibex, Black Hawaiian Sheep, Vancouver Bulls, Wild Boar, Mouflon

The island of Hawaii, or the Big Island is home to the only active volcano in Hawaii. In Hawaiian culture the volcano represented their deity "Pele". King Kamehameha the 1st began his conquest to rule all of the Hawaiian Islands starting from the Big Island. Not only does Hawaii Island flourish with Hawaiian culture it also offers an amazing hunting experience. There are two feral goat species; the Spanish Goat, and the Hawaiian Ibex. Below are pictures showing difference of the two species.

The island of Hawaii is also host to the Black Hawaiian sheep, which are some rugged animals. They live on the slopes of Maunakea and Maunaloa volcanoes in the most beautiful forests you can imagine. One of the only dangerous game that Hawaii has to offer is the Vancouver Bull. These bulls are like the Hawaiian version of the American Buffalo. Because this animal is known to be aggressive, the guide will carry a 12-gauge shotgun as back up. Lastly, don't forget about Hawaii's classic, the Wild Boar. Brought to Hawaii by the first settlers, this animal has not changed since and proves to be a very challenging and exciting hunt. Ask us about lodging and mouflon (upon availability). There are several hunting properties on Hawaii Island, which total to 100K acres.
